Axiom Addicts

Axiom Addicts were founded in 2002 by songwriters Rina and Stephen Kleege. Performing initially as a duo, Axiom Addicts focused on melody and lyrics, bringing "music you can hear" to such New York venues as the Knitting Factory, Kenny's Castaways, Bar-B, the C-Note and CBGB's. Since 2006, Axiom Addicts have been performing as a full rock band:

•Rina Kleege (vocals/guitar) previously performed with Deep Feelings and What the Funk Is Going On Part I; ReBand; the Shuffle; Dr. Joy and the Operators.

•Stephen Kleege (keyboard/ vocals) has played with Deep Feelings and What the Funk Is Going On Parts I and II; ReBand; Insignificant Others, Big Jive (with Ellen Foley); and the house band at the Millhouse, Waitsfield, Vt., backing such artists as Jon Hendricks and Bobby McFerrin.

•Nick Moran (lead quitar) has been playing for over 30 years. He holds a degree in jazz performance from the City College of New York where he studied for two years with world-renowned bassist Ron Carter. Nick is also a sound engineer, recently mixing and co-producing solo guitarist Adam Rafferty's second CD, Chameleon. Nick regularly performs throughout the greater New York area with his jazz-funk band the Nick Moran Trio.

•Mike Garner (bass) has played with a host of national and local rock n' roll, swing, progressive rock, jazz, and country artists. After 13 years as leader and bassist of the roots rock ensemble The Sylvester Brothers, Mike released his newest solo CD effort in 2008 on Telelikz Records called "Cup o' Jo...and other delights."

•Hollis Headrick, drums, has performed with jazz and rock groups in New York, Boston, and Europe at venues including the Knitting Factory, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Lincoln Center, Roulette and The Kitchen. He recently performed with composers Anthony Braxton and Walter Thompson. He studied at the Berklee School of Music and the Creative Music Studios.
